Greater Manchester Primary Care Trusts and Studio North develop RU Clear? brand
Background
Across the country, all young people aged under 25 are being encouraged to be tested for Chlamydia.
Chlamydia is the most common sexually transmitted infection and most people who have it don’t know they’ve got it. Untreated Chlamydia can lead to long term problems such as infertility.
Greater Manchester Primary Care Trusts commissioned Studio North to develop a new identity and to design promotional literature and a web site as part of their awareness campaign to encourage young people to take the free and painless test.
Solution
With such a defined target audience, and our designers being well versed with NHS brand guidelines, it was essential that the creative route would be friendly and accessible to people under 25. Taking this on board, the informal brand name RU Clear? and blue and green identity were selected as the most approachable of all the ideas presented.
As the brand was further developed this informal feel was enhanced by the choice of images throughout the campaign which also included a concertina style leaflet and posters for outreach centres.
The HTML/Flash web site includes a content management system and a database driven location finder assists the browser in easily locating their local clinic.
